Building Commissioning

Building Commissioning is the systematic process of operate and maintain the building in such way that it meet the requirements of occupant in most efficient way. Commissioning also helps to improve the occupant health and safety.

There are two type of commissioning.

  • a) Building Commissioning:

    • This approach is applicable to new building. From pre-design phase to occupancy and operation phase commissioning phase verify, adjust, test and document to provide building staff that operate its systems and equipment. Third party commissioning is a part of new building commissioning.

  • b) Retro commissioning

    • This is another type of commissioning applicable to existing building. This is process that improves equipment efficiency and resolves the difficulty that occurs during operation and occupancy phase. Overall, retro commissioning enhances a building's operations and maintenance (O&M) procedures.
